If you prefer, you can start with her most recently published work; One of us is Next.

Book #2: After the Thaw by Tamar Sloan & Heidi Catherine

This should be your next read if you read the Divergent or Maze Runner series and loved it. It’s a 4 part series and a definite tear-jerker, be prepared for waterworks right from the first book.

Genre: Young Adult, Sci-fi, Dystopian.

Synopsis:

Four tests. Seven days. Nine teens.

Only the chosen shall breed.

Humans now live in a super greenhouse. Seas have risen. Oceans have acidified. And the fight for resources is deadly. To ensure nothing of this magnitude ever happens again, only those with enough intelligence and heart will earn the right to bear children and heal the earth.

Book #3: The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers

This book had me in my feelings. A definite book for every book club. The authors made it a whole lot easier with the Questions for discussions. Too bad, I wasn’t in a book club when I read it, I had a lot to say.

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Christian Fiction.

Synopsis: A successful LA artist, Roman Velasco appears to have everything he could possibly want―money, women, fame. Only Grace Moore, his reluctant, newly hired personal assistant, knows how little he truly has.

The demons of Roman’s past seem to echo through the halls of his empty mansion and out across his breathtaking Topanga Canyon view. But Grace doesn’t know how her boss secretly wrestles with those demons: by tagging buildings as the Bird, a notorious but unidentified graffiti artist―an alter ego that could destroy his career and land him in prison.

Book #4: The Husbands Secret by Liane Moriarty

Genre: Fiction, Mystery.

Synopsis: Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. That the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive. . . .

Book #5: Heartless by Marissa Meyer

Genre: Fantasy, Young adult

Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland, and a favorite of the unmarried King of Hearts, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, all she wants is to open a shop with her best friend. But according to her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for the young woman who could be the next queen.

Book #6: Outfox by Sandra Brown

Genre: Romantic Suspense, Thriller

Ever heard of Sidney Sheldon or read any of his books? I’m sure you have. If you love the pacing and style of Sidney Sheldon then you won’t be able to drop this author, Sandra Brown. A combination of Steamy romance and intriguing Plot twists. I recommend any book by her, any book. Other books by her include: Play dirty, Mean streak, etc

Synopsis: FBI agent Drex Easton is relentlessly driven by a single goal: to outmaneuver the conman once known as Weston Graham. Over the past thirty years, Weston has assumed many names and countless disguises, enabling him to lure eight wealthy women out of their fortunes before they disappeared without a trace, their families left without answers and the authorities without clues.

The only common trait among the victims: a new man in their life who also vanished, leaving behind no evidence of his existence . . . except for one signature custom.

Book #7: With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo

Genre: Young Adult

The one place she can let her responsibilities go is in the kitchen, where she adds a little something magical to everything she cooks, turning her food into straight-up goodness.

Still, she knows she doesn’t have enough time for her school’s new culinary arts class, doesn’t have the money for the class’s trip to Spain — and shouldn’t still be dreaming of someday working in a real kitchen. But even with all the rules she has for her life — and all the rules everyone expects her to play by — once Emoni starts cooking, her only real choice is to let her talent break free.

Book #8: The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks

Genre: Thriller

When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Assume nothing.

Well. you don’t need me to say anything else. That’s all the suspense you need.

Book #9: Where the Crawdads Sing

It feels like the whole world has read this except me. Don’t be me, save yourself while you can and read it. It’s on my TBR list and should be on yours too.

Genre: Fiction, Mystery

Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Then the time comes when she yearns to be touched and loved. When two young men from town become intrigued by her wild beauty, Kya opens herself to a new life–until the unthinkable happens.

Book #10: Verity by Colleen Hoover

Synopsis: Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime.
